Polypipe Civils has celebrated two of its graduates successfully completing the company’s apprenticeship scheme, joining the business as full time members of staff.
Callum Collins and Kieran Sayer, both 19, are now working as qualified Specialist Fabricators at Polypipe’s North Road site in Loughborough.
The three year apprenticeship programme undertaken by Callum and Kieran included fabrication and welding techniques.
Alongside this, the pair were given day release each week to attend Loughborough College, where they successfully completed Level 3 Extended Engineering Diplomas in Fabrication and Welding.
Mark Hughes, Managing Director at Polypipe, said: “We’re pleased that Callum and Kieran have not only successfully completed their apprenticeships and diplomas, but have seamlessly made the transition to full team members.
“Their hard work and dedication should serve as inspiration to our latest intake of apprentices, and highlight the opportunities available to those considering an apprenticeship in the future.”
The success of the scheme is set to continue, with Polypipe recently announcing the appointment of a further three apprentices in Loughborough College students Daniel Ralph, aged 22, Brooklyn Buckby, 18, and Enrico Lanza, 17.
